He stared up at the sun defiantly as the moon began to move in front of it. Standing here atop Fort Knox his view of the eclipse was perfect. More importantly, his celestial alignment was at it's maximum potency for the ritual.
"Steve, your glasses."
He turned and blinked at his assistant, Reece. The poor boy was doomed. He was fine at assisting but that seemed to be the extent of his talents. He was holding everything Steve needed but in a way that infuriated him. His camera was pinched to his body with the right elbow, the strap hanging down near the ground dangerously. His coffee cup was in his right hand held from underneath precariously. He offered the eclipse glasses, held between two outstretched fingers, with his left.
"Fuck it." Steve sneered, turning his attention back to the spectacle above. "Did you do the thing?"
"Yes..." Reece replied. "Why did you make me d-"
"I didn't make you do anything." Steve snapped.
"Ok." Reece said quickly. "But it was weird. At first, the doll wouldn't burn and then it suddenly caught fire. It burned so quickly and brightly. But only... After I..."
"After you said the words."
"Yes."
"Good." As the eclipse reached it's climax above them he held out his hand to Reece, who then handed him the coffee cup. Removing the lid, Steve threw the contents, ashes created by Reese's ritual, off of the roof and into the wind. "Seder pe’ulat ha-yetsirah." He said.
"Seder pe’ulat ha-yetsirah." Reece muttered, automatically.
Steve's eyes stung as he watched the sun reappear from the moon's shadow. Probably destroyed my eyesight, he thought absently. Good thing Moshiach was near. None of it mattered anymore. He looked out across the water and sighed.
"Reece, what is your purpose?" He asked him.
"To serve you, sir." He replied immediately and with absolute conviction.
"Good." Steve said, nodding. He stepped towards Reece swiftly, grabbed him by his belt and his collar, and tossed him from the roof. To his credit, Reece fell silently to his death. As he smashed fatally against the ground below Steve admired him for that. So many die screaming and without dignity.
"You're welcome." He said down to his lifeless body. Doomed, he thought, but at least he had a purpose. So many more would die clawing for that and never achieving it. Reece had been lucky. Suddenly, his pocket was full of Wagner. He reached into it and retrieved his ringing cellphone.
"What?"
"Did you see the news?" It was Miller, his man in the White House, and he never called with good news.
"What did our naked emperor do?"
"He stared directly up at the eclipse like a dumbass. Three times. The press is having a field day with his senile ass."
"Is that all?" Steve laughed.
"This stuff is adding up. It matters, Steve." Miller insisted.
"Oh, I don't know." Steve said. He looked down over the edge of the building and saw Reece staring back up at him. He was standing in the pool of blood he'd created after he'd been thrown completely motionless save for the movement of the wind in his long black hair. "Maybe he's like me. Maybe he's just saying 'Fuck it.'."
Miller began to speak again but Steve hung up and returned the phone to his pocket. He spoke down to Reece in barely more than a whisper.
"What is your purpose?" He asked him, again.
"TO SERVE YOU!" It roared back up to him in one voice that sounded like one hundred.
"That's right." He told it with a grin. "Now, go get the car."
He gave the sun a final glance. It was finished. The sun was whole again and blinding as always. For now, at least. Crescent shaped artifacts danced across his vision after he tore himself away from it.
"Fuck it." he said, and headed for the stairs.

And then there's this asshole.
Even as his lackeys were scrambling to cover for him, Trump was hiding in a bathroom somewhere in the White House tweeting away their spin jobs.
"Yeah, I did that shit. So what?"
What Trump and his MAGA cultists fail to understand is that his decision to declassify something on a whim is a threat to our national security. He just put Americans at risk because he wanted to look like a big shot to his Russian handlers.
Our allies will not be willing to share sensitive intelligence with us for fear of our president just blurting it out during dick measuring sessions and compromising assets. Compromising assets, by the way, means getting motherfuckers killed because you gave them away during an operation.
This lack of communication will hinder our intelligence community's ability to detect new threats and monitor old ones. It will put a hole in that safety net.
I wonder how many friends the president has left in the intelligence community now. I'd wager less than before.
You can see the buzz of bots all over twitter attempting to damage control this new Trump scandal. Ignore it. Fuck Podesta. Fuck Clinton. I'll make a deal with the MAGAs right now:
You can lock Clinton and Podesta up if we can lock Trump up. Two for one. How about it?
And you have to stop acting like you give half a fuck about Seth Rich. You're just using a dead man as a prop for your agenda and it's pretty disgusting.
But, seriously, who's fooled by the "What about Clinton!?" shtick anymore?
Do better, Russia.

Blogging amidst this madness.
I'll be honest; I can't keep up.
If the goal of the Trump regime is to confuse and fatigue spectators into silence then it may well be working. At least on me.
I'm learning so much about our political system each day, which is nice, but the lesson I keep learning is that the president can pretty much do whatever the fuck he wants. I bet Obama is kicking himself for being so conservative with his use of power. Trump gives zero fucks about ethics, optics, conflicts, politics... It's like we made the Joker the president. He's a dog chasing cars. He just does things.
But is there light at the end of this dank, dark tunnel? Lots of people say yes. The rumors rumbling through the twittersphere, and elsewhere, whisper "Grand jury" or "Sealed indictment" urgently. I want to believe... But I've been hurt before.
All the while, the tweets! The tweets!
It's a fitting future, really. That we would have a Nixonian scandal live tweeted from a dark corner somewhere in the White House.
"Where's the president?"
"I don't know. He gave me the slip again. Is he in Ivanka's room?"
"Negative. He's tweeting. HE'S TWEETING!"
"All agents, be advised. We have a Code Brown on Tweety Bird! I say again, Code Brown! Check all the bathrooms and closets! This is not a drill!"
It'd be a whole lot funnier if it wasn't a thing that probably has happened and does happen. This fucking guy is an embarrassment. An absolute disgrace.

Is today the day?
Western news correspondents in North
Korea have been told today to expect a "big and important event". At times, in the past, this has amounted to nothing. Other times, however, this
has heralded a test of either a missile or a nuclear warhead.
So, with Trump's “Armada” steaming
full ahead towards North Korea, is this going to be what kicks off
war with North Korea?
It's apparent that Trump is very keen
on conflict. When we're talking about North Korea, or Syria, we're
not talking about Russian connections to the treasonous Trump team.
Distraction is one of Trump's absolute favorite tactics. Mainly,
because it works. Our media has proven time and again to be as
susceptible to distraction as the very dumbest of our population.
At this point, Donald may as well be jingling his car keys at them.
So, if Kim tests a nuke today then what
is the response? Tomahawks? Airstrikes? Both will be a clear
declaration of war. North Korea is not Syria. This isn't pantomime
any more. If we attack North Korea at all, if we fire a missile, a
round, if we throw a fucking rock, we will be at war with North
Korea. Period.
We are in the absolute worst position
we could be in. We are sitting here today and wondering - “How will
Trump respond to provocation?”.
The answer, unfortunately, is probably
“Not well”.
I fear that by the day's end we will be
at war. Someone should tell Donald Trump that you can't win a war from a golf course.

Time is of the essence.
Remember those people that said during the election
“Trump can't do half of the crazy things he's saying he'll do”?
“Don't worry.” They'd coo. “He can't hurt things that
much!”
But, oh dear, is he trying real hard right now.
I'm not being partisan when I say that he's destroying
our nation's image among allies and foes alike. Republicans are
feeling it, too. Trump isn't even a Republican to begin with. You've
known this all along really, Republicans, but the win was important
to you. Now you have to decide if it's more important than the
country.
Nevertheless, those optimists from before the election
were technically correct, which is the best kind, when they doubted
his ability to destroy us all. It is not, however, from lack of effort, ability, or motive, but a
lack of intelligence. He tried to pull off a great con, because
DONALD TRUMP IS A CONMAN, and he isn't smart enough to pull it off.
The marks are starting to get wise. The jig is up. The buzzards are
circling the carcass.
His network of shady businessmen is already crumbling.
Soon, it will be every man for himself in Trumpland. If you're paying
attention you can actually see the wheels coming off. They'll tear
each other apart trying to stay out of jail or, on the Russian side
of things, not get straight up murdered. These men aren't built for
prison, even a cushy federal one, and they know it. Maybe they'll
surprise me and we'll watch Trump grow old gracefully on the lush
links of Agola state penitentiary.
Even if Pence survives the impeachment things will be
improved. Just think of everyone that goes away when Trump does.
Bannon. Gone. Tillerson. Gone. Sessions. Conway. Kushner. Ivanka.
Gone. Spicer gone, obviously. That little bottom feeder will be lucky
to get the Easter bunny job back. I'm feeling increasingly secure in
the knowledge that Mattis and McMaster are around. If there's anyone
connected to Trump that I have any faith in, it's those two men.
We're going to need guys like these in the coming days. This treason
will tear our government apart but what rises from the ashes is up to
us and we need to remember; Country over party.
Trumpkins are starting to get that now. They're seeing
that they were lied to and they do not like it. They're not ready to
admit defeat to liberals yet, so bitterly do they hate that word, but
they're beginning to acknowledge that this Trump thing may have been
a mistake. They're less vocal in their support and much less eager to defend him. I don't see a whole lot
of MAGA hats around these days, do you? His slowly eroding base should give
hope to all patriotic Americans. Hell, to people all over the world.
One thing still looms ominously on the horizon - North
Korea. Trump is rattling sabers loudly and I think that it's because
he believes a war will save his ailing presidency. I believe he's
insane enough to try regardless. He's not going to go down easily. Oh no, not our Donald. Trump is going to go down kicking and screaming, taking everything
and everyone along with him, fighting until the bitter end. Hopefully, we can stop him before he starts something that we can't fix.

The honeymoon is over.
“BUT WHY?!” The Donald screamed as
he slammed his small, soft hands down on the Resolute desk. His anger
forced his voice two full octaves higher and made him sound like a
petulant child.
“Don-” Paul Ryan began. The Donald
cut him off.
“MR. PRESIDENT!” The Donald whined.
“Mr. President...” Ryan choked out
the words. “We don't have the support.”
“Well, maybe if you'd made it better!
Why is it so bad? You're the worst! SAD!” The last word he almost spit out involuntarily, as
though he suffered from Tourette's.
“You said you liked it yes-” Ryan
was cut off again.
“FAKE NEWS!” The Donald began
sputtering. “You are just as bad as CNN and NBC! Fox and friends
knows! You're just like the fake dishonest media! SAD!”
“Do-Mr. President, this isn't the end
of the fight. We can rewrite it and reintroduce it. We can-” Ryan pleaded.
“No! The stupid loser Democrats want
Obamacare? Fine! They can have it! Steve told me that it's going to
explode anyway and, when it does, it'll be their fault! They're going
to have to come to me for help and I'll make them all come down to
Mar-A-Lago and eat the meatloaf! Get out of my office!” The Donald turned his back and stared angrily out of the window.
“Yes, Mr. President.” Ryan said. As
he left the Oval Office, closing the door behind him, a tear rolled
down his cheek.
“Sad.” He said to himself quietly
as he wiped it away.

покидать корабль!
While it is true that Trump's White
House is now clearly a lost cause of scandal and incompetence there
may still be a silver lining:
Trump may be too busy, or even
completely unable, to pursue military actions.
He's in it now and it's showing. He's
coming apart at the seams live on Twitter. His mad ramblings, written
in such obvious panic and desperation, should be more proof than
anyone needs. The way he attempts to fling blame at other people is a
clear indicator. He's compromised, there is proof, and he knows it.
Why else would he be so worried about a wiretap that he'd tell his
tweeps before he asked his advisers?
He's rattled.
Imagine that you're a general watching
this. A general that, not so long ago, watched your
commander-in-chief throw you and your buddies under the fucking bus
for a botched raid that he himself greenlit.
Now you're thinking
about your career, your family, your troops. Are you going to follow
this man into battle? Having served under some questionably suited
NCOs and officers I can tell you that disobeying an unlawful order is
as much a soldier's duty as following a lawful one. I have to hope
that our military commanders are the men that I think they are and
that they should be.
I also don't see Trump getting any
cooperation from our allies at the moment regarding broad military
action - like war with Iran. I've written about my belief that Trump
will attack Iran in much the same way that Bush attacked Iraq;
Looking for things that aren't there and after a dubiously connected
terrorist attack. I can't see that happening with the way things are
going. As with most of my most pessimistic writing... I hope I'm wrong.
The support that he needs seems to be
dwindling. As Republicans continue to play damage control, while they push through measures to make their friends rich, they are
slowly distancing themselves from the Trump administration. Especially now that the Republican healthcare plan has been outed as an absolute disaster. Trump has
no real allies that I can see. Is a politician ever a true ally? A
person motivated solely by their self interest is never going
to burn for you.
It'll be very interesting to see how the Trump administration responds to Rachel Maddow's exposure of Trump's 2005 tax returns. The WH's statement...
is a disaster. How embarrassed are you that this is the kind of statement that Trump's WH releases?
So, what now? They just accused Maddow of breaking the law. Are they going to arrest her? Is this the next iteration of the "Lock Her Up!" movement? Isn't it funny that Trump and his cronies have been saying for this entire time that he can't release his tax returns and then today, when the press gets a portion of them, they are eager to release that portion but only that portion? We need to see those taxes.
What Maddow has now isn't actionable but she's got the right idea. By showing what she has she can show us what we need and why we need it. Hopefully this is only the beginning.
I believe that the president is corrupt and compromised, I believe that initially only his inner circle were fully aware of the extent of this, and I believe that now, as the evidence pours out of the many holes in the HIRMS Trump, people that previously did not believe are starting to. What they will do with this information I have no idea.
Trump is sinking, though.
Watch the rats.

Tiny Dicky
Let us be very clear: Donald J. Trump is a manchild.
His obsession with crowd size continues. He is still very hurt that he lost the popular vote, so much so that he is launching an investigation into nonexistent voter fraud. His investigation will no doubt uncover some dubious infractions that will lead him to crack down and tighten voting regulations. If there were any doubts that Donny boy was a Republican we can put them to rest now. What's more GOP than voter suppression?
I often find myself wondering about the size of Mr. Trump's penis. I'm not a homosexual, although I'd be fine if I were, but it does fascinate me. It must be minuscule. Building towers, groping women, and being obsessed with size always. It screams micropenis. Hollers it from the top of the highest tower. A tower that was built, by the way, to compensate for the tiny penised man standing atop it crowing about it's size. It's incredibly transparent. I think that reporters should ask him about his schlong. I just want one dauntless reporter to stand up during a press conference and say "Mr. President! How big is your dick not?". I want to see his reaction to the question. I want to watch him shrink like a salted slug as he turns red and becomes infuriated by the intrusion. Sure, that reporter might find himself poisoned. I think it'd be worth it though. Grab him by the penis. With tweezers, I suppose.
Trump says "The world is a mess" and insists that it "can't get angrier". I think he'd be surprised by how angry the world could be. Specifically, how angry the United States can be. Cracking down on the American people does not cause them to behave. We are not a group of people that is easily subjugated. I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump products being thrown into Boston harbor before too long. The new Boston T party. A big golden T for Trump, of course. We know he likes his things golden. Curtains, letters, showers... Gold is definitely his thing.
There is no greater threat to our way of life than our current president. He believes that our country, indeed the world, is broken and wants to change everything. He intends to remove regulations for corporations, roll back any and all environmental protections, suppress more voters, stifle the rights of women, steal the rights of LGBTQ folk, invade a US city, ban Muslims from entering the US, expel 11 million people, and start a fucking war with China.
The expulsion of illegal immigrants concerns me. 40% of illegal immigrants fly into our country and overstay. I'm not really sure what the wall is going to do to stop that. Also, a large number of them are European and Asian but no one seems to care about any of the undocumented immigrants that aren't brown. All the while, claiming that it's not racial. Sure it's not, Adolf.
His supporters are forming some sort of strange cult. They are constantly demanding that I swear fealty to their king, Trump.
"Say it with me, "Trump is my president."." is something I've heard multiple times. No doubt shouted at their monitor while wearing white robes with a burning cross in their backyard.
He's not a king. He's an elected official. One I did not vote for. Therefore, he's not my president anymore than Obama was theirs. For eight years they denigrated and disparaged MY president. Now they want me to kneel for theirs? I think fucking not. He will never be my president. He is a disgrace. In four years when we vote him out overwhelmingly I'll be standing on my front lawn giving Trump signs golden showers and waving my American flag while I shoot my guns in the air.
Trump is my Nixon. I think I'll call him "Tiny Dicky".
I'll never bow to Tiny Dicky.

FAKE NEWS!
Trump today denied charges of corruption and Russian collusion by shouting down reporters he didn't like as "FAKE NEWS!" while paid spectators clapped and cheered. His supporters ate up that slop like pigs at the trough; Happily and without question.
The rise of fascism in the United States is real and imminent. Ominous. Trump discredits honest, but biased, press while he refuses to divest in his many businesses. He is clearly compromised by Russia but his followers don't care. Anyone but "Killary" they cry, still. The election is long over but any criticism of their God-King is immediately and fervently met with criticism of Hillary Clinton. The only way that they can justify electing a man like Donald J. Trump is to highlight the flaws of his opponent. "Look what could have happened!", they cry. Trump himself has no actual merits. There was no reason to elect Trump other than that he was not Obama or Clinton. That's it.
His campaign promises are disintegrating as we speak. Lock her up? Nope. Drain the swamp? Absolutely not. The swamp is now being populated with some of the most dangerous and dastardly characters that the right can find. The far right. So far right that they're warming up the trains and dusting off the gas chambers. Build the wall? Maybe. Mexico isn't paying for it, though. You are. Suckers.
America chose a salesman over a politician because the average American thinks that one is better than the other. Now, Trump's supporters are driving off of the lot at 19% interest with a six year loan and a big ol' smile on their big dumb faces. "My payments are super low!", they gloat stupidly. Meanwhile, the used car salesman is at the bar buying drinks for his friends with their commission check; laughing at the idiocy of these uninformed consumers. "Not to worry!", He says as he roars with laughter, "When it breaks down they'll blame the Mexicans!".
If you cannot see that calling his first press conference, screaming at the press, denying vehemently, and tweeting frantically is an admission of guilt then I don't think there is any hope for you.
If you cannot see that Kellyanne Conway being dispatched to spread misinformation to major media outlets as damage control is not Trump basically pleading guilty then the wool is thick over your eyes.
If you cannot see that Russia addressing these allegations so immediately and directly is a complete acknowledgement of their collusion then you are a fool.
This is fascism rising. This is how our democracy dies. Our president is quelling free speech and twisting the truth to fit a lie. Watch the Kellyanne interview for example.
/Drunk blog over.

Repeatedly, Anderson Cooper says that the story that CNN reported WAS NOT the same story that Buzzfeed ran. He says it over and over and over again. She continues to say that they are the same story. THEY ARE NOT. She deliberately says "CNN and Buzzfeed" together in the same sentences over and over again. This is an attempt to link the two in your brain and make the two stories inseparable. By doing this they only have to discredit ONE of the stories.
She also says that they don't discuss intelligence briefings. While she's arguing about what happened IN AN INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING. While she says that it DIDN'T HAPPEN IN AN INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING.
What?
This is an absolute attempt by an authoritarian administration to discredit the press and control the media.
He's not even president yet.
Can you imagine how bad things are going to get when he actually has the power of the office?
We're fucked.
Find a Trump voter and thank them.

If Everything Is Racist Then Nothing Is.
You'll see and hear a lot of the same things from people right now. One of the biggest phrases I see a lot is "You think everything is racist.". This is usually said right after you call someone out for being racist. They do this to marginalize you and destroy the credibility of your statement. It's complete bullshit and should not be tolerated. Racism exists. We all know this. It exists in many forms and in many people. Race relations in Amerikkka have always been shaky, at best. We live in a country that committed genocide against it's native people, enslaved it's black and Chinese people, locked it's Japanese people in internment camps, that continues to suppress it's minority community's votes, and is now talking about deporting 11 million Hispanic immigrants and forcing Muslims to register. We need to talk about racism.
Call it what it is.
If you're a white person that is spouting this "You think everything is racist" bullshit then, guess what? You're supporting racism and further damaging race relations at a time when we do so at our peril. Look around and realize that your apathy is allowing for the rise of fascist rhetoric and the loss of basic human rights for your friends and neighbors.
If you're a POC and you aren't calling out racism WHENEVER you hear it then, guess what? You are supporting racism and further damaging race relations. This shit cannot and should not be tolerated in our society. We've come to goddamn far to be taking these huge steps backwards. I refuse to go back to a time when a white man thought it acceptable to call me a nigger in the street. You should, too.
Making America great again means stepping back to the 1960s and undoing the entire civil rights movement? It means leaping back to the 1940s and one of the most shameful things we've ever done as a nation? It means deporting millions of people that DO contribute to our economy, both in tax revenue and in purchasing power? It means undoing LGBT rights? It means ignoring the RIGHT of Natives to defend water they depend on to live? It means allowing fascist hate groups to march around spewing disgusting rhetoric about white supremacy?
I don't think so.
America IS great because it's a melting pot. Because we are supposed to unite as Americans in times of need. This is a time of need. Do not let a small group divide us.
I don't hate white people, and I know that most white people don't hate me, but some of them do. Acknowledging that is not the cause of racism but the cure for it. Be my brother, respect my opinion, understand my point of view, and I will do the same. Don't dismiss me because my opinion makes you uncomfortable.

I have not yet begun to fight.
I never pictured myself here.
Blogs are pathetic, really. Just an exercise in impotent rage. People screaming into the void. A vain attempt to gain attention by people who think they have a unique and interesting perspective. My blog isn't going to change the world.
So why bother?
The answer came at me like a ton of bricks. It fell on me and pinned me to the spot in which I now lay. It anchors me here, in this place, where there is but one course of action.
Because it's something. Because if I can even change one mind, educate one person, reach one kindred spirit, then this is all completely worth it.
Because it soothes me in a way that few things do.
Because they have blogs, too.
By they, I mean these Alt-Right nutjobs that are constantly hounding me and others on all forms of social media. When they aren't sending me death threats, calling me "Afrocentric", or a "black nationalist", or just a nigger, they're attempting to create false narratives about me and my intentions. If someone attacks me and I retaliate they call me violent. If I threaten those that threaten me they say that I'm making threats about nothing. They knowingly spread lies about me and people that look like me to further their agenda and their agenda, make no mistake, is our destruction.
I will never sit quietly and passively while people attempt to destroy me. Be it with words or with weapons. I will always fight back. I will always stand tall against tyranny. I haven't come this far to be silenced by a bunch of angry white men with inferiority complexes. I didn't risk my life in combat to surrender to threats. I didn't watch my friends die for rights that I am willing to relinquish. The more I am told to shut up the louder I will shout.
If you're reading this and you feel the way that I feel then you are my brother. I don't care about your color. I don't care about your religion. I don't care about your geographical location, your sexual orientation, your political affiliation, or your gender identification.
Some people think that I hate Trump voters. I don't. If you are a Trump voter, though, then you should understand a few things. Donald Trump ran on a platform of racism, prejudice, misogyny, xenophobia, and lies. By voting for this you have proven that you do not care about your president saying and doing the things that he says and does. You're telling me that it doesn't matter if he lies to you about any and everything. Otherwise, you wouldn't have voted for him. You have accepted all that he is and decided that those things are ok. I don't know how to reconcile that. I don't know how to be a friend to someone that accepts those things from anyone, let alone from the leader of their country. If you're white and you voted for him that tells me that you care more about Hillary Clinton's emails than you do about my welfare in this country as a brown person.
When he comes for the undocumented and the Muslims all brown people will be under a microscope. You may not see this as a real fear but I cannot afford to dismiss it when it is a clear possibility. Ask the Jews how that works out. Or the Armenians. Or the Japanese. Ask the Cambodians that watched the rise of the Khmer Rouge or the Russians that witnessed the rise of Lenin and then Stalin. You may think I'm being paranoid. The reason you think that is simple; You don't have to worry about it so you don't care. If you're white and an American citizen they may never come for you. You won't listen to me NOW. Will you listen when they come for me? How can I trust you to? Why would I?
I understand that you're scared of Muslims and Mexicans. You disregard the fact that you're more likely to be killed by a white terrorist than a brown one, more likely to be killed by a cop than a Jihadi, more likely to kill a cop as a white man. You ignore the good in each group and exaggerate the bad while simultaneously dismissing the hate groups growing in strength within your own communities and among your own race. Black people are responsible for all other black people while white people take no responsibility for other whites. If a white man screams nigger and hits me in my face on the street "moderate" whites will tell me that he doesn't represent all other white people. If a black man does the same to a white man it will trend on twitter and/or be reported on Breitbart as an example of the violent savagery of the black man. You do this with a complete lack of self awareness. Then you will want to be my friend. Then you will call yourself my ally.
If you do not stand up for me against the people that attack me you are not my friend. If you do not speak up for me when people put me down then you are not my ally. If you do not respect me enough to acknowledge and understand the things in the world that I worry about then you are not my brother.
Right now I can't afford to figure out people's intentions. You're either with me or against me.
I'm not threatening you with violence. Please understand that. This is America, after all, and Americans do not physically attack those with opposing views. Well, not other Americans with opposing views, anyway. The very essence of my fear is that this seems to be changing right before my eyes. I never received death threats for arguing about Obama and Romney. I've never been called a stupid nigger just for admitting to being a liberal. Before this election I was working on poems and short stories. I was thinking about writing a book for my children. Now, I'm blogging anonymously about hate crimes and racism. Anonymously because I fear for the safety of my children.
An American should not have to worry about retaliation against his family for his political views. Yet, I do. I was told not long ago that I should stop arguing and blogging "for the sake of my children and old people.". When I refused I was then told that I "must have a death wish like they do, then.".
What the actual fuck, America?
So, here I am. I will keep writing. I will keep disagreeing. I will continue to be a dissident. I will continue to work towards achieving my political goals and making America SAFE again for myself, my children, and all other people of color. I will not bow to threats nor yield to pressure. I will not sit down. I will not be quiet.
If I should die in the service of this goal then so be it.
Drape a flag on my coffin and bury me a patriot.

A message for the fascists.
I have a message for those that would threaten us.
For those that mean us harm.
For those that think us weak.

Stop It?
Trump's "harsh words" in response to hate crimes are akin to mine when my wife's cat steps on my keyboard while look for pets.
Stop it.
Like kindly Papaw delivering a scolding to his favorite grandchild with the hint of a smile and a wink.
Stop it.
President Obama, adressing hate crimes in America, had this to say;
At root, this isn't just about our laws; this is about who we are as a people. This is about whether we value one another
-- whether we embrace our differences, rather than allowing them to become a source of animus. It's hard for any of us to imagine the mind-set of someone who would kidnap a young man and beat him to within an inch of his life, tie him to a fence, and leave him for dead. It's hard for any of us to imagine the twisted mentality of those who'd offer a neighbor a ride home, attack him, chain him to the back of a truck, and drag him for miles until he finally died.
But we sense where such cruelty begins: the moment we fail to see in another our common humanity -- the very moment when we fail to recognize in a person the same fears and hopes, the same passions and imperfections, the same dreams that we all share.
We have for centuries strived to live up to our founding ideal, of a nation where all are free and equal and able to pursue their own version of happiness. Through conflict and tumult, through the morass of hatred and prejudice, through periods of division and discord we have endured and grown stronger and fairer and freer. And at every turn, we've made progress not only by changing laws but by changing hearts, by our willingness to walk in another's shoes, by our capacity to love and accept even in the face of rage and bigotry.
Trump, addressing hate crimes in America, had this to say;
I am so saddened to hear that.
George Bush, addressing hate crimes in America, had this to say;
One of the greatest obligations of this administration and of the Department of Justice is the guarantee of civil rights for all Americans. As I said in my State of the Union Address, every one of us must confront and condemn racism, anti-Semitism, bigotry, and hate not next week, not tomorrow, but right now -- every single one of us. For hate crimes cannot be tolerated in a free society.
Trump, addressing hate crimes in America, had this to say;
Stop it.
Bill Clinton, addressing hate crimes in America, had this to say;
We should remember that each of us almost wakes up every day with the scales of light and darkness in our own hearts, and we've got to keep them in proper balance. And we have to be in the United States absolutely resolute about this. That's why I think this hate crimes issue is so important.
We're not talking about everybody agreeing with everybody else on every political issue. We're talking about whether people have a right, if they show up and work hard and obey the law and are good citizens, to pursue their lives in dignity ... without fear of being abused. And this should not be a partisan issue.
Trump, addressing hate crimes in America, had this to say;
And I say, 'Stop it.' If it -- if it helps, I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras: 'Stop it.'
Your "President-Elect" is, at best, an incompetent. At worst, he's a treasonous, white supremacist collaborating toad.
I say 'your's' because he is not mine.
No president of mine would attempt to stop hate crimes the way that Willy Wonka attempts to stop Mike TV from teleporting himself.
Stop it.

The President-Elect is a Pathological LIAR.
The first thing I saw Donald J. Trump say today was a lie. This has been par for the course these last 18 or so months. The only explanation I have for this is that he thinks we're all morons. He might be right.
This tweet, taking aim again at the "Lugenpresse", is a flat out LIE. Disprovable with a simple google search, like so.
It seems, though, that he nor his supports care for the truth any longer. It seems that the only truth is what more people hear. In Trumpland, a lie becomes the truth when it's heard by more people than the real fact. Just say it loud, proud, and often. People will believe it.
This is NOT MY PRESIDENT.

Pepe Earth - with David Attenborough.
The Twittersphere.
Host to all manner of creatures, the Twittersphere is a strange and wondrous place. Here can be had all sorts of experiences. From hearty laughs with friends to cordial chats with celebrities. It has toppled governments, shaped elections, and decided the winners of gameshows. For some, it is an information super highway linking them to the entire world at light speed so that they may gather knowledge for the good of all mankind. For other, lesser creatures, it is simply an outlet for their angst. A way to work through their personal issues without being personal. Anonymity, to these base lifeforms, is the only way that they can truly be themselves as, in the real world, larger and more powerful beings would surely crush them.
One such denizen of this world is "The Pepe".
Seeking out those it deems to be weaker, the Pepe will attack indiscriminately. Largely a pack animal, due to it's fragile nature, the Pepe charges headlong into a fray with reckless abandon. This generally works for the Pepe.
Sometimes, however, the Pepe makes a grave mistake.
This is one such time.
Welcome to Pepe Earth.
First, the Pepes are engaged.
Enraged by the challenge, the Pepes attempt to show physical dominance. It's perceived prey wastes no time in asserting it's own prowess. This causes the Pepe to signal other Pepes to help as he realizes, too late, that he is outmatched.
Then a rule of the internet is stated.
The Pepes then respond in typical fashion and the rule is restated.
His companion is sensing that he is fading and attempts, quite unsuccessfully, to strike.
I hope you have enjoyed this glimpse into the Twittersphere and this revealing look into that strange creature, the Pepe.
Please join us again, here, on Pepe Earth.
Social Insecurity.
I'm writing this post from a hospital room. No, not mine. Sorry to disappoint you Alt-Right fucks that keep sending me death threats. Here lies a relative. She's in ICU and thus oblivious to the changes that have befallen her world. As she struggles to overcome her injuries, sustained because no one checked the drug interactions before she was given her medicine, she's not worried about her social security. We are, to be sure. She, however, was dead for about ten minutes before they revived her and because of this she isn't quite aware of Trump's plans. Hopefully, her brain damage isn't too severe... or she might leave this hospital a Trump supporter herself.
I envy her slightly. Odd, I know. Why would I be envious of someone that is possibly suffering from anterograde amnesia? Well, if I told her right now that when she left this hospital she would probably not have her social security much longer she might be horrified. She might even cry, wail, and otherwise lament this new calamity that had assailed her. She would then fall asleep, wake up, and have no memory of that grave event. Though she falls asleep in Trumpland she does not wake up in it. That has to be some comfort. I'm sure some reading this can relate to the bliss of such an ignorance. Would you know it, though?
Of course, I'm being dramatic. I don't want tubes sticking out of my throat. I don't want nurses wiping my ass. I would be immensely upset with having to speak to my children in whispers from a hospital bed. The last thing I would want to hear is that when, indeed if, I managed to pull myself up out of my bed, rip the tubes from my trachea and the IV needles from my hands, and walk out of this hospital with my head high, I would then find myself without my sole source of income. Old, lost, sick, and forgotten. This is her reality now. What a slap in the face that this poor woman is fighting for her life and her health while the rug is being pulled from under her by some white men in suits who's only interest is lining their pockets.
But, hey, at least you get your wall, right?
Except you don't.
Even now, Trump is hedging on his promise of wall building. Newt, a man who fits his name more perfectly than if Mitch McConnell were actually called "Turtle", described it as a "campaign device" that Trump would not be putting much time into building or making the Mexicans pay for. The Mexicans who quite clearly stated they aren't paying for our fucking wall. And why would they? Did anyone actually stop to think about how we were going to get another country to pay for a wall that we wanted to build to keep them out? Or did everyone just jump on the "Trump train"?
Toot toot. All aboard the bullshit express. Next stop change.
What a bunch of suckers you all are

What a bunch of suckers you all are
Look at your working class heros, LAUGHING AT YOU.

Change you can deceive with.
In the aftermath of this election I find myself in an unusual place. As a patriot, and a veteran of George Bush's war to "get the bad man who tried to hurt Daddy", I respect our democracy. I understand our social contract and the rule of law. I know that I am supposed to try and work with my fellow American in good faith so that we might come together under our new president. Still, I reject him. He's baffled and clueless. An outsider only in that he doesn't know how things work on the inside.
To say he's the "Anti-Establishment" candidate is to misunderstand what the establishment is. That is to say, a billionaire real estate developer who's father was a billionaire real estate developer who's father was a millionaire real estate developing pimp is not anti-establishment. In fact, these are the men that built the establishment and, believe it or not, the men that would see it continue.
The change you sought will not come from a Donald J. Trump. Not in the way you think it will. Sure, he hates Mexicans like you do. He might even dislike them niggers, too, but he's not going to run the country on this platform. That position is untenable in American politics.
Rest assured that if he did raise a large deportation force and run house to house rounding up all your brown skinned neighbors the streets would run red with blood. Blood from all types of people because, guess what folks, we all bleed the same color. You may think that the Negro's blood is black and that yours is red, white, and blue, but that is about as true as creationism. That is to say, not. Even if there were a God I fear that his brown skinned Jew son might have some choice words for the likes of the Alt-Right. I do not, however, attempt to speak for that man.
What will you do when your wall is not built? When the Hispanics are still here and the blacks have not fled your neighborhoods in fear of the hateful note you left on their windshield? What will you do when those that you torment on twitter have blocked you? When the evidence of Trump's fling with Paris Hilton, when she was a minor, hits the internet? Leaked, I'm sure, by the Russian friends who's favor he curried to win the election but who's favor he will lose when he fulfills none of his promises? Trump is, after all, a man that has built an empire on unfulfilled promises and unpaid loans. He is the ultimate salesman. He has no product but his name. Nothing upstairs but his obscene hair. Nothing in the bank but a box full of IOUs. Now that he owes you, what will you do?
I choose to not wait. I don't need to look into the box. I don't need to watch the sex tape. I don't need to ruffle the hair. I've bought my fair share of used cars. I can smell his brand of bullshit a mile away, even if it has a big, gold T on it. So I'll be sharpening my pitchfork and lighting my torch, dear friend. I will take to the streets and I will fight this madness to the bitter end. I will breathe the tear gas and I will face down the rubber bullets. Not for me, I no longer care about myself, but for the little girls and boys that he does not consider citizens. For the men that he considers criminals, drug dealers, and rapists. For the women that he demeans, the America that he believes he has fooled, and, most of all, for the constitution that he aims to wipe his fat orange ass with the moment he plants it at the Resolute desk. I aim to be as resolute as that desk. As steadfast as the English Oak from which it was carved.
I shall not yield to tyranny.
